Recruitment stands …do they work?

Some companies go out in to the local areas to try and recruitment new employees. The Army, Navy and Royal Air Force can often be seen talking to the local community explaining to them what they do and asking them to join their cause.

So does this type of recruitment work? It is often a numbers game, but not many people who leave their details actually end up joining. This can be because they felt under pressure or too embarrassed to say no, so end up just ignoring the calls and or letters.

TV adverts have proved more successful as a recruitment process simply because they give people the information and then let them go away and decide if they want to apply for a position. TV ads can also show people real footage so they get a true feel for some of the types of things they can expect.
